I have a singing group called "Singing Silence" that takes place in my living room and other places too! (Check my blog or contact me for the exact places and dates.) Sometimes it's just me and the divine, and other times I invite a variety of people to play with me. We play an international mixture of meditative music, mantras and heart-warming songs. Everyone is welcome to come and sing or just listen in silence and let the power of the music carry you.

Here is the wonderful way that Jai Uttal describes an evening of singing together like this (Kirtan):

Kirtan is the calling, the crying, the reaching across infinite space, digging into the heart's deepest well to touch and be touched by the Divine Presence.

Kirtan is for all people. There are no experts, no beginners. The practice itself is the teacher, guiding us to ourselves. Kirtan allows us to enter into a mystery world -- a world where all the logic of our minds, all the conditioning and learning are left outside. And in this mystery, we create a temple inside of our hearts, a place of refuge, a place of love, a place of just being.

By car from Köln:
Take the A4 Direction Olpe. Turn right at Untereschbach. At the traffic light (that you will reach after you leave the Autobahn), turn left (south) towards Rösrath. After about 2 km, turn right onto Schreibershove (which is just after the Restaurant Lehmbacher Hof).

By train
Take the regional train to Rösrath-Hoffnungsthal from the Main Station in Köln (It leaves every half hour.) If you call me the day before, we’ll come and pick you up and drop you off after too! (02205 894489)
